Exit signs/Emergency Lights, tested, inspected, repaired.
There is an annual requirement in the fire safety code to have your exit signs and emergency lighting inspected and tested. If your lights do not pass the test, they shall be repaired or replaced. Because exit sign and emergency light testing is so important, we send you a certified technician who will inspect, test and repair your emergency lights and exit signs. Our company follows all of the state requirements for testing, inspecting and repairing all types of emergency signs. If your sign is not repairable, we have exit signs and emergency lights in stock and we can replace your broken sign for an affordable fee.
NFPA 101®, Life Safety Code® 7.9.3 & 7.10.9 require that exit signs and emergency lighting systems to be maintained according to the following:
- Visual inspection of the equipment once every 30 days
- 30 second illumination test under battery-backup power once every 30 days
- 90 minute illumination test under battery-backup power once every year
- Written records of visual inspections and tests to be kept for inspection by the Fire Marshal or Fire Inspector.
